Feb 7, 2024 I won the People’s Choice Award at the 2024 CU Boulder Graduate School 3MT (Three Minute Thesis) competition, receiving the highest number of audience votes.
Jan 25, 2024 Our new paper, titled “Recency Bias in Task Performance History Affects Perceptions of Robot Competence and Trustworthiness,” has been accepted at ICRA 2024. In this work, we explore how recency bias affects task performance history in human-robot interactions and propose approaches to mitigate its impact on user trust and perceptions of robot competence. Jan 7, 2024 I have been selected as the 3MT (Three Minute Thesis) finalist for the 2024 CU Boulder Graduate School! I will be participating in the final round of the competition on February 7th, 2024.
Dec 14, 2023 I have successfully defended my Phd thesis proposal and comprehensive exam on “Mediating Trust and Influence in Human-Robot Teams via Multimodal Communication and Explanation”! I am now a Phd candidate!
Dec 6, 2023 I have been selected to participate in 2024 AAAI Doctoral Consortium! I will be presenting my work on “Autonomous Policy Explanations for Effective Human-Machine Teaming” at the conference in February 2024.

Apr 22, 2023 New paper accepted to RSS 2023, “Autonomous Justification for Enabling Explainable Decision Support in Human-Robot Teaming”, in which we explore the role of justification in human-robot collaboration, introduce a novel framework for appropriately timing explanations, and evaluate different types of justifications to enhance user trust and decision-making in teaming scenarios.
